Great Snoring Parish Council

  • Advance note of temporary road closure

    NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL has made a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C319 Fakenham Road from its junction with C317 The Street for a distance of 50 metres southwards in the PARISH OF GREAT SNORING because of a water pipe repair.

    The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 8th May 2018 to 12th May 2018 for the duration of the works, expected to be 5 days within the period.

    Alternative route is via: C319 Fakenham Road/ Thorpland, A148 Fakenham Bypass/ Holt Road, C317 The Street/ Great Snoring Road/ Norwich Road (Little Snoring/ Kettlestone/ Great Snoring/ Fakenham).

    (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.

    NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order affecting the C318 Thursford Road from a distance 720 metres southeast of its junction with C317 Snoring Road for a distance of 40 metres south eastwards in the PARISH OF WALSINGHAM because of a fire hydrant repair.

    The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 7th February 2018 to 9th February 2018 for the duration of the works, expected to be 3 days within the period.

    Alternative route is via: C318 Thursford Road, C317 Snoring Road/ Walsingham Road, U14015 Thursford Road, C319 Thursford Road.

    (If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order).

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

     PARISH OF GREAT SNORING

    NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a casual vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

    If by 2 February, 2018 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

    If an election is called, it will take place not later than 10 April, 2018.
