    1. Date of announcement: Friday 31 May 2024
    2. Each year the smaller authority prepares an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR). The AGAR has been published with this notice. It will not be reviewed by the appointed auditor, since the smaller authority has certified itself as exempt from the appointed auditor’s review.

    Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the AGAR, the accounting records for the financial year to which it relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested. For the year ended 31 March 2024, these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to:

Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the smaller authority.

    The appointed auditor can be contacted at the address in paragraph 4 below for this purpose between the above dates only.

    1. The smaller authority’s AGAR is only subject to review by the appointed auditor if questions or objections raised under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 lead to the involvement of the auditor. The appointed auditor is:

    In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to emergency electrical supply work the use by vehicles of the Common Place from its junction with High Street for 50m northwards in the PARISH OF WALSINGHAM will be temporarily prohibited from 3rd to 9th April 2024 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 7 days within the period.

    This Notice has a maximum duration of 21 days. Where exceptional circumstances are encountered during the performance of the works specified in this Notice, the operational period of this Notice may become extended by issuing an Order or further Notice to allow completion of the works for a maximum duration of 18 months.

    Alternative route is via: Common Place, Holt Road, Snoring Road, Walsingham Road, The Street, Barsham Road, Water Lane, Fakenham Road, Ford Road, High Street (Great Snoring, Barsham, Walsingham).

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

  • Notice of Temporary Road Closure

    NORFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (NTRO7666) affecting The Street from 20m south of its junction with Barsham Road for 30m southwards in the PARISH OF GREAT SNORING to facilitate works for a new water connection.

    The road will be temporarily closed (except for access) from 4th to 6th March 2024 for the duration of the works expected to be about 3 days within the period.

    Alternative route is via: The Street, Walsingham Road, Snoring Road, Thursford Road, North Lane, Hindringham Road, A148 Fakenham Road/ Holt Road, Great Snoring Road, Norwich Road (Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Great Snoring, Hindringham, Thursford, Walsingham).

    If necessary, the restriction could run for a maximum period of 18 months from the date of the Order.

    Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

    In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
