Great Snoring (NTRO10130) Notice
In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to leaking sluice valve the use by vehicles (of any class) of the C317 The Street from its junction with C319 Dilldash Lane for 22m north westwards (the “Road”) in the Parish of Great Snoring will be temporarily prohibited/restricted.
Alternative route is via: C317 The Street, C317 Walsingham Road, C317 Snoring Road, C597 Holt Road, C597 Common Place, C586 High Street, C586 Fakenham Road, B1105 Barsham Road, A148 Fakenham Bypass, C317 Little C317 Norwich Road (Great Snoring, Fakenham, Little Snoring, Kettlestone, Barsham, Walsingham, Sculthorpe).
The works promoter for this restriction/closure is: Anglian Water.
The closure/restriction is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road or both.
The closure/restriction is anticipated to take place from 14th to 20th August 2025 but the Road may continue to be closed/restricted until the 3rd September 2025 where the closure/restriction is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure/restriction is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 3rd September 2025 without further notice.
If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.
A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/ closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
Penalty: £1000 maximum fine on conviction and/or endorsement for contravention.

2. Each year the smaller authority prepares an Annual Governance and Accountability Return (AGAR). The AGAR has been published with this notice. It will not be reviewed by the appointed auditor, since the smaller authority has certified itself as exempt from the appointed auditor’s review.
Any person interested has the right to inspect and make copies of the AGAR, the accounting records for the financial year to which it relates and all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers, receipts and other documents relating to those records must be made available for inspection by any person interested. For the year ended 31 March 2025, these documents will be available on reasonable notice by application to:

Written notice of an objection must first be given to the auditor and a copy sent to the smaller authority.

4. The smaller authority’s AGAR is only subject to review by the appointed auditor if questions or objections raised under the Local Audit and Accountability Act 2014 lead to the involvement of the auditor. The appointed auditor is:

Alternative route is via: Great Snoring Road, Norwich Road, Fakenham Road, Thorpland Road, Holt Road, The Street (Great Snoring, Fakenham, Little Snoring, Kettlestone).
The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public or serious damage to the road or both.
The closure is anticipated to take place from 12th to 18th February 2025 but the Road may continue to be closed until the 4th March 2025 where the closure is still required beyond the anticipated dates.
This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 4th March 2025 without further notice.
If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.

This Notice shall automatically revoke on the completion of the works / when the closure is no longer necessary or otherwise on the 23rd February 2025 without further notice.
If necessary, this Notice may be extended for an additional 21 days by further Notice and/or for a maximum of 18 months from the date this Notice is effective by further Order.
A person who contravenes, or who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the restriction/ closure imposed by the Order shall be guilty of an offence.
